During Dr. Raman Unnikrishnan’s training at Glickman Urological and Kidney Institute at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland Ohio, he spent a year involved in advanced kidney cancer research studying the effects of targeted therapy on the immune system.
Dr. Unnikrishnan’s clinical interests include robotic-assisted and minimally invasive surgery, stone disease, as well as benign and malignant diseases of the bladder, prostate, and kidney.
Dr. Unnikrishnan has published multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented his research at both regional and national meetings. He was awarded Best Poster at the Ohio Urologic Society meeting in 2014 and Best Poster in Kidney Cancer at the North Central section of the American Urological Association meeting in 2014. Dr. Unnikrishnan is a member of the American Urological Association and the Society of Endourology.
Dr. Unnikrishnan grew up in eastern Kentucky. He enjoys spending his time with his wife and two daughters, playing guitar, and running.
