Raised in North Carolina, Dr. Kelly has spent much of his time at UNC Chapel Hill. His areas of interest include robotic surgery, urologicAL oncology and minimally invasive treatments for kidney stones and enlarged prostates. He is excited to bring his expertise to the area to increase the access to care and provide an excellent, patient centered, quality experience to all of his patients.
Dr. Kelly has published multiple papers in peer review journals and presented at numerous national meetings. Areas of publication include robotic simulation, research on nerve sparing robotic prostatectomy, and Holmium Laser Enculeation of the Prostate (HoLEP). He has also contributed to the textbook 5 minute Urology Consult. Dr. Kelly is a member of the American Urologic Association and the Mid-Atlantic Section of the American Urologic Association.
Doug comes here with his wife Morgan Kelly, who is an anesthesiologist in the area. When not at work, he enjoys distance running, the beach, travel and time spent with friends and family. He is also an avid Philadelphia Eagles and UNC athletics fan.
