Originally from the west coast, Suzanne and her family moved to Virginia in 2005, eventually settling in Virginia Beach in 2016. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Anthropology with an emphasis on Primatology and a minor in Zoology. She was a zookeeper and had planned to study gorillas in Africa. However, fate would redirect her path and she became a wife and mother to 4 children before returning to school to get a nursing degree in 2011.
Suzanne practiced emergency medicine for her entire nursing career while cross-training in the operating room and gained field experience volunteering with a rescue squad. Her most current position was proudly serving the military community in the Emergency Room at Portsmouth Naval Medical Center.
In 2021, Suzanne received her master’s degree in nursing and completed her Family Nurse Practitioner board certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She has served the Virginia Beach community, providing outstanding patient-centered care at a local clinic since that time.
Suzanne has become an avid adventurer and traveler in recent years. She loves spending time with her husband, children, and her grandson. She enjoys running, living near the beach, and walking her bulldog, Mabel.
