In addition to general urology, Dr. Sobol’s clinical interests include robotic surgery, advanced stone disease, neuro-urology as well as benign and malignant diseases of the prostate, bladder and kidney. Much of his fellowship training focused on Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP) – a procedure for benign enlargement of the prostate particularly suited for treating men with very large prostates or complete inability to urinate.
Dr. Sobol has published multiple articles in peer reviewed journals and presented his research at national meetings. He received best poster at the American Urologic Association meeting in 2016 for his work on recurrent prostate cancer.
